- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
- Create tailored treatment plans that align with both short-term objectives and long-term needs regarding communication, cognition, or swallowing.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
- Work closely with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop unified treatment strategies.
- Provide education to patients and their families, empowering them to support progress beyond the walls of the clinic.
- Engage in the occasional provision of inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless transition through the treatment spectrum.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in your field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successfully complete a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) granted by ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities applicable to all age groups, along with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills that foster rapport with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Adept at adjusting therapy techniques to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment paired with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records management and documentation practices.
