Description

• Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric age groups using a variety of standardized evaluations and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Administer individualized speech therapy interventions that focus on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop seamless care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate progress outside the clinical setting.
• Support occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a coherent care continuum throughout the treatment process.
• Keep precise and timely documentation that aligns with organizational, state, and federal standards.
• Stay updated with innovations in the field through continual education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
