Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia (Nursing)

A dedicated Registered Nurse is needed for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The role requires expertise in providing high-quality patient care to individuals following anesthesia procedures.

This position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM. The unit operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so the role may require participation in on-call rotations during holidays.

Located in City, State.

Provide nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia.

Monitor vital signs and patient conditions closely.

Administer medications and assist with pain management.

Collaborate with medical and surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Respond to emergencies promptly with appropriate interventions.

The PACU sees a variety of higher acuity cases, including:

• Thoracic Surgery
• Orthopedic Surgery
• Neurology Surgery
• Vascular Surgery
• Urology Surgery
• General Surgery Cases

Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Post Anesthesia or a related specialty.

Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Experience with Cerner software preferred.

Employees are expected to work during major holidays. This includes:

• Two major holidays from the following options: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day.
• One minor holiday from the following options: The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve.
