Lecturer - MSW 510: Generalist Practice I: Individuals (Fall 2026) Job no: 560134 Work type: Instructional Faculty - Temporary/Lecturer Location: San Marcos Course Information Semester: Fall 2026 Day/Time: Thursdays, 1:00–3:50 p.m. Modality: Hybrid (half online, half in‑person at San Marcos campus) College: College of Education, Health and Human Services Department: Social Work Course Description Addresses generalist social work practice with diverse individuals within a person‑in‑environment perspective. Emphasizes core social work knowledge, values, and skills within the context of evidence‑informed engagement, assessment, intervention, and evaluation. Responsibilities Teach the 3‑unit MSW 510 course, deliver 3‑hour weekly sessions in a hybrid format, develop course materials, assess and evaluate student learning, and participate in faculty meetings and departmental activities as required. Minimum Qualifications A Master of Social Work degree Five (5) years of post‑MSW experience Five (5) years of full‑time practice experience working with individuals in direct practice settings LCSW licensure Residency in California (required by CSU Out‑of‑State Employment Policy) Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree in Social Work or a closely related field Teaching experience and demonstrated instructional methodology Intercultural competence and commitment to serving the campus community Salary Commensurate with degree level and experience.
