Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients suffering from mood disorders, evaluating symptom intensity, duration, and frequency.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans addressing the specific needs and goals of each client, ensuring personalized care.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate healing and recovery.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders and the associated treatment options, while promoting healthy self-care practices.

• Monitor client progress regularly and adjust treatment plans to meet evolving needs.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and holistic care.

• Stay informed on the latest research related to mood disorders and adapt treatment strategies accordingly.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation compliant with ethical guidelines and legal standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions to continually enhance your skills.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work towards reducing the stigma associated with mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients experiencing mood disorders, which may include individuals battling depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will have the chance to work with a diverse array of individuals, including those from underserved communities, homeless populations, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Your skills will be crucial in providing compassionate support as you guide them through their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
