Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- Current state licensure to practice as a School Social Worker
- Previous experience providing school-based social work services preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEPs, 504 plans, and student support services
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and staff
- Skilled in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and behavioral management
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Participate in development and implementation of IEPs and 504 plans
- Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ academic and emotional growth
- Provide crisis intervention and collaborate on safety planning when necessary
- Advocate for student access to external community resources and mental health services
- Maintain confidential student records and thorough documentation in compliance with school and district guidelines
- Lead or participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development related to student wellness
