Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid state license or certification as a School Social Worker
• Previous experience in a school or educational setting preferred
• Demonstrated ability to support students from diverse backgrounds
• Effective communication, advocacy, and teamwork skills
• Strong organizational abilities and a commitment to confidentiality

Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ emotional, social, and academic needs through individual and group sessions
• Develop and implement intervention plans based on assessments and collaboration with educators and families
• Provide crisis intervention and counseling to students experiencing difficulties
• Connect students and families with community resources and support services as needed
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504 Plans, and related documentation
• Serve as a liaison between home, school, and local agencies to ensure all-around support for students
• Promote a positive, inclusive school climate through advocacy and the development of social-emotional learning programs
