Position overview Position title: Hospital Medicine Faculty Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and, if applicable, rank and/or step. The pay range for this position is $295,000 - $340,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Position description The Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence among its faculty, staff, and student body. We are recruiting Academic Hospitalists and Nocturnists to join our dynamic team of physicians. We are seeking physicians who are committed to providing exceptional patient care, actively engaging in medical student and resident education, and contributing to meaningful quality improvement initiatives. Faculty development opportunities are available to support growth and advancement in these areas. Selected candidates will be responsible for the clinical care of patients, teaching medical students and residents, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and/or engaging in scholarly and research activities. The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.
