Accounts Receivable ClerkThe primary function of an accounts receivable clerk is to ensure accurate payment application, and payment discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.Key Responsibilities:Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, credit card transactions daily, and payments from online portalPost all checks, deposits, and Received on Account payments in a timely mannerPull and post payments from LockboxAdjust incorrect payments from counter salesNotify the Credit Department of any unapplied cash/short paysAssist in month closing of all ARAssist in processing of customer refund checksAssist with any projects and tasks required by the Credit & Accounting departmentOther duties as assignedDirect Manager/Direct Reports:Reports to the AR Manager/SupervisorNo direct reportsTravel Requirements:N/APhysical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80%Occasionally, will move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.Must be able to operate basic office machineryMust be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situationsMust be able to process customer payments, financial documents, etc.Constantly working in office environmentWorking Conditions:Primarily works in a professional office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. Regular use of standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, and printers. Requires frequent keyboarding, data entry, and reviewing electronic and paper records with attention to detail. Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and management via phone, email, and in person. May be required to handle multiple priorities, work under deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced business environment. Requires the ability to analyze financial information, reconcile accounts, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and customer data.
