Director of Product, Subscriber Value

Role Description

As Director of Product, Subscriber Value, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategy to deliver value to our subscribers, while growing Life360’s subscriber base and subscription business.

• Develop new freemium features and improve existing ones.
• Own the architecture and pricing of what members get for what they pay (tiers, entitlements, bundles, add-ons).
• Lead the portfolio of partner-powered value that complements the features we build ourselves.
• Accountable for the growth of our subscriptions and the satisfaction of members who choose to pay for one.
• Set a strategy for one of Life360's highest-leverage surfaces.
• Drive outcomes by working across engineering, design, analytics, ML, finance, and business development teams.
• Advocate for subscriber value with the executive team and at every level of the company.
• Use AI throughout your workflow and help define what AI-native product management looks like on the monetization side of the business.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in consumer products, including 5+ years owning subscription monetization at scale.
• Demonstrable success in developing strategies that led to the growth of a subscription business.
• Direct, hands-on ownership of pricing and packaging.
• A track record of product work enabled by commercial partnerships.
• Deep fluency in mobile subscription mechanics.
• Genuine unit economics fluency across lifetime value, gross margin, CAC, cohort retention curves, and contribution per member.
• Strategic ownership at the Director level.
• AI-native operator.
• Deep empathy for families and comfort with the central tension of this role.

Requirements

• Own the subscriber value strategy: define the membership portfolio architecture.
• Drive the Subscriber Value roadmap and the development of freemium features.
• Grow revenue per membership and set the framework for monetization.
• Own premium services provided through 3rd parties and identify new opportunities.
• Own pricing and packaging, including price architecture and execution of price changes.
• Drive a culture of experimentation, leveraging AI and data science.
• Operate as an AI-native product leader.
