The Cook plays a vital role in a busy kitchen environment, responsible for preparing ingredients and cooking meals following a standard menu. Working as part of a kitchen team, this position requires proficiency in basic cooking techniques and adherence to sanitation standards while using commercial kitchen equipment. The role offers opportunities for advancement to Chef or Sous Chef and skill enhancement through lateral movement within the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking dishes according to the standard menu

• Maintain kitchen sanitation and adhere to food safety standards

• Operate commercial kitchen equipment efficiently and safely

• Manage inventory to ensure ingredient availability and minimize waste

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in food preparation

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid Food Handler's Permit

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

• Proficiency in basic cooking techniques and knife skills

• Strong time management and team work abilities

• Experience in inventory management
