Recruiting Coordinator

The Recruiting Coordinator works closely with a team of recruiters in a fast-paced recruiting organization and plays a key role in managing recruiting activities and building strong candidate relationships. This role serves as an organizational hub for the recruiting team, often providing candidates with their first impression of the company. The Recruiting Coordinator collaborates effectively with internal stakeholders and external candidates, communicates clearly and professionally, and adapts quickly to changing priorities. Responsibilities

• Schedule interviews and phone screens by working directly with candidates and hiring managers, including arranging travel for visiting candidates when needed.
• Maintain and update candidate records and job postings in recruiting systems, ensuring accuracy and confirming new hires in a timely manner.
• Provide follow-up correspondence to candidates regarding their recruiting status through phone and email, ensuring a professional and positive candidate experience.
• Track recruiting activities and compile candidate status updates into a clear weekly report for the recruiting team and stakeholders.
• Coordinate post-interview debrief meetings and prepare and distribute debrief materials to participants.
• Identify and recommend opportunities to improve the candidate experience and enhance scheduling efficiency across the recruiting process.
• Assist in the coordination and execution of other recruiting activities and projects as needed to support the overall recruiting function.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience as a recruiting coordinator or in a coordination role.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated administrative experience supporting processes, documentation, and data accuracy.
• Experience coordinating schedules and managing multiple calendars in a professional setting.

• Experience in roles such as scheduling coordinator, program coordinator, or similar coordination-focused positions.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and general recruiting processes.

Work Environment

This role is 100% onsite in a corporate office environment (Arlington, VA). The Recruiting Coordinator works closely with recruiters and hiring teams in a dynamic, fast-paced setting that requires frequent communication, coordination, and collaboration. The position involves regular use of standard office technologies and software, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as recruiting and applicant tracking systems. The workday typically centers around business hours, with the need to adapt to changing schedules and priorities to support interviews and recruiting activities. The environment emphasizes professionalism, responsiveness, and a strong focus on providing an excellent experience for candidates and internal partners.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Arlington, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
