If you are a current State of Oregon employee, you must apply through your** **employee Workday profile****.****A day in the life:*** Serve as the main contact with cities, counties, utilities and other agencies.* Prepare and negotiate service agreements with local governments.* Review and approve driveway and access requests to state highways.* Work with local governments to support and protect the transportation network.* Help identify and advise on maintenance and improvement projects.* Monitor winter maintenance operations to support public safety.* Develop and oversee maintenance projects and contracts.* Respond to public questions and represent ODOT’s position.* Help prepare and monitor the maintenance budget.* Assist in supervising staff, assigning work, supporting hiring processes and identifying training needs.* District-wide daytime travel is frequent.
