Production Supervisor / Manufacturing SupervisorLocation: Mechanicsburg, PAPay Range: $29.63/hr (DOE)Shift: 3rd Shift - Sun-Thursday 10:30 pm - 6:30 amOur client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Production Supervisor to join their team. As a Production Supervisor, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the production process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.What's the Job?Backup for multiple department positions; Supervisor, Quality Inspector and Line Lead.Ability to read and understand Bill of Materials, Manufacturing Instructions, and SOPsCoordinate packaging activities to ensure production and quality of products meet company standards.Assist with skill development and coaching of new or existing employees. Train employees to perform manual operations of folding packaging materials, case packing, and palletizing.Communicate performance standards to team members, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments and counseling performance problems.Perform product changeovers and staging packaging materials for use of new production orders.Maintain production areas in a neat, orderly condition consistent with good manufacturing practices including routinely organizing workspaces, removing debris or unnecessary materials, and ensuring equipment and surfaces remain clean to maintain workflow efficiency.Ensure all company safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe working environment, including PPE (i.e. safety glasses, steel tip shoes etc.).Manage the workforce to achieve productive goals and performance standards.Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.Performs accident investigations as required.Maintain appropriate documentation and systematic transactions of packaging materials, Finished Good Pallets and personnel.Control inventory of supplies, packaging materials, work in process items, and scrap within the assigned area.
