INTERMEDIATE CLERK, TEMPORARY SERVICES REGISTRY PROGRAM (TEMPLA)

Job Title

Performs specialized clerical duties.

Essential Job Functions

The essential job functions include:

• Processing documents according to established procedures.
• Reviewing documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Answering questions and providing information to the public.
• Maintaining records requiring specialized knowledge.
• Comparing or segregating documents where specialized knowledge is involved.
• Utilizing office machines incidental to the performance of other duties.
• Searching records and files for data where judgment is required.
• Indexing and cross-referencing records and files.
• Sorting, arranging, and filing documents and publications.
• Calculating amounts due, collecting fees, and issuing receipts.
• Requesting, receiving, storing, inventorying, and issuing office supplies.
• Receiving, sorting, and distributing mail.
• Serving as a receptionist or counter clerk, as needed.

Requirements

To qualify, you must have:

A Certificate of Completion of the County of Los Angeles, Department of Human Resources Temporary Services Registry Program, TempLA. A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
