Accounting Clerk

Job Description

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring an Accounting Clerk for a company in Plano, TX. As an Accounting Clerk for SURESTAFF, you will provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation $19 as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include Monday-Friday Accountant Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and verify the accuracy of vendor invoices as well as correct general ledger coding.
• Post invoice and expense report sessions in the firm's financial system that have been exported from automated workflow software.
• Reconciles monthly open item statements received from vendors and keep the GRNI Good Received Not invoice
• Prepare check run weekly to ensure that vendors are paid on time and assist with printing and scanning checks
• Record ACH and Wire payments processed.
• Verify and reconcile credit card transactions on firm AMEX to prepare for payment while ensuring accurate coding.
• Monitor the accounts payable mailbox; respond to emails when necessary
• Correspond with both internal and external clients to answer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
• Provide Controller with weekly updates on accounts payable status and what will come due in the next week or two

Clerical Requirements and Qualifications

• 3+ years of working with high volume, full-cycle accounts payable
• Experience with Syteline (preferred)
• Proficiency in computer systems (spreadsheets, word processing, email).
• Expertise in account management, financial analysis, costing, budgeting/forecasting, taxes and statement preparation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Interpersonal skills.
