Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist for a travel assignment in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role involves providing pharmaceutical care with a focus on efficiency and excellence, filling drug orders, monitoring therapies, and offering drug information services in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacist

Prepare and dispense drug orders per physician request following established procedures and protocols
Interpret and verify drug orders into computerized systems accurately
Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including non-sterile products
Manage and issue controlled substances to patient care areas, maintaining required records
Provide ambulatory pharmaceutical care services utilizing approved protocols
Ensure safe and cost-effective drug therapies
Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications and interactions
Assist with pharmacokinetics consult service and renal drug dosing
Participate in quality improvement and medication use review activities
Conduct interventions and participate in stewardship activities as assigned

Requirements of the Pharmacist

Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required
Pharmacy state licensure required
BLS or ACLS certification required
Hospital experience preferred
