Make a difference in the lives of K-8 students as a Special Education Teacher through a full-time contract position for the 26/27 school year. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in supporting students with low-incidence learning disabilities (LD) and emotional disabilities (ED), guiding them towards their fullest potential academically, socially, and emotionally. You’ll work collaboratively with school teams, tailoring instruction according to each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP), with a focus on foundational reading and math skills.

Key Qualifications:

• 1-5 years of classroom teaching experience, preferably in special education
• Valid LBS1 Teacher Certification and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Mastery in academic content areas and behavioral interventions
• High expectations for self and colleagues, with a strong belief that all students can achieve at high levels
• Ability to communicate clearly—in writing and verbally—and prioritize in a dynamic school environment
• Flexible mindset and creative approach to problem solving
• Commitment to continuous professional growth and collaboration

Responsibilities:

• Deliver both push-in and pull-out support, managing a caseload of approximately 20 students
• Provide individualized academic, emotional, and physical services according to IEPs
• Collaborate with other instructional staff to ensure a cohesive, enriching learning experience
• Support students in developing socially appropriate behaviors and academic competencies
• Track student progress and engage families as partners in learning
