Passionate educators with experience in Special Education have an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in an innovative, mission-driven K-8 school community just outside Chicago, IL. This full-time contract role offers a chance to support students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral growth in a collaborative setting committed to high standards and meaningful outcomes.

In this role, you’ll provide direct instruction and individualized support for an average caseload of 20 students, primarily with Specific Learning Disabilities and Developmental Delays. Responsibilities are divided between push-in and pull-out interventions, with a focus on foundational reading and math skills. You’ll collaborate with colleagues, implement IEPs, and help foster students’ full potential, all while modeling and inspiring positive, socially appropriate behaviors.

What We’re Looking For:

• 1-5 years of special education teaching experience, preferably in diverse or high-need settings
• Valid Illinois LBS1 Teacher Certification and PEL required
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
• Demonstrated belief that all children, regardless of background, can achieve at high levels
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility, initiative, and creative problem-solving abilities
• Strong mastery of academic content and evidence-based behavioral interventions
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration
