Legends Pharmacy is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to support billing, collections, and reimbursement activities within our long-term care pharmacy operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate billing, timely payment collection, and financial stability while supporting the delivery of pharmacy services to long-term care residents and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Submit and monitor pharmacy billing claims and facility invoices.
- Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, rejections, and aging accounts.
- Communicate with insurance companies, facilities, and responsible parties regarding billing and payment issues.
- Reconcile payments, adjustments, refunds, and account balances.
- Generate and review aging reports and collection activities.
- Maintain accurate billing records, payer information, and reporting documentation.
- Collaborate with pharmacy operations, billing, intake, and finance teams.
Qualifications
- Accounts receivable, medical billing, or healthcare revenue cycle experience required.
- Experience with insurance claims, collections, payment posting, and account reconciliation required.
- Pharmacy billing experience highly preferred.
- Long-term care pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and third-party payer processes preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Professional communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
