Accounting Clerk

Responsibilities Compute, classify, record, reconcile, and verify numerical data for maintaining accounting records specific to Mastercard, EFT, and debit programs. Perform accounts payable daily processing and transmission of overdraft privilege and share draft posting reports, including completion and processing of all exceptions. Process and submit returns and share drafts via Tranzact software program. Process, set‑up, and document Mastercard products, including daily transmission of Mastercard payments to PSCU. Handle Mastercard inquiries from members and internal staff, investigating inquiries, resolving issues, and communicating results. Maintain the overdraft privilege program and manage repayment plans. Research debit and credit adjustments on member accounts as needed. Review, accurately post, and file incoming wires daily and process outgoing wires. Set up new ACH originations. Print corporate account statements from Tranzact daily. Serve as immediate backup to Accounting Clerk II. Attend staff meetings. Support other departments through exemplary internal customer service. Qualifications Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or two years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
