Network Security Architecture & Analysis Project Leader

Overview The Aerospace Corporation is a federally funded research and development center that provides innovative solutions across satellite, launch, ground, and cyber systems for defense, civil, and commercial customers. The Cyber Architectures & Integration organization supports the U.S. Space Force by developing mission engineering products and applying system engineering and architecture principles to define cybersecurity capabilities and solutions. What You’ll Be Doing Conduct analysis of system requirements and threats to identify options for protecting critical data and communications. Coordinate corporate technical resources to provide customers with products and advice supporting the development of architectures and solutions to protect individual systems and communications within systems‑of‑systems. Oversee implementation of cryptographic, cryptographic key management, and related cybersecurity requirements for space programs. Provide analysis of design trade space and deliver inputs on specific design elements in relation to environmental, trust, and cyber‑security issues. Coordinate resolution of analysis results across Space Force, HQ CCC, CCSD, NSA, and other DoD components. Develop security risk assessments and perform other systems engineering and cybersecurity tasks as assigned. Minimum Requirements Bachelor of Science or higher degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or related technical field. At least eight years of relevant professional experience in scientific or engineering positions. Experience with cyber security solution assessment, network security, or cryptographic product engineering. Experience in systems engineering subject areas including requirements engineering, verification, test, and/or risk management. Willingness to travel periodically as needed. Current TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain additional clearances (U.S. citizenship required). How You Can Stand Out Advanced degree or certificate in information systems security or equivalent. Experience with space acquisition policies, processes, or budgeting. Experience with space systems, missions, and cloud architectures. Leadership in cryptographic certification efforts. Digital engineering, MBSE, or architecture process and tool experience.
