\nYour Role:\n
\n
\nAt EMD Electronics, the Maintenance Mechanic will support production and quality goals by ensuring safe and reliable operation of machinery and mechanical equipment in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.\n
\n
\n

\n
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on rotating equipment to include pumps, reciprocating compressors, agitators, gear boxes, and process refrigeration systems.
\n
• Perform basic building maintenance throughout the site.
\n
• Utilize diagrams, sketches, OEM manuals, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot and repair malfunctions.
\n
• Effectively communicate job status, document job activities and observations.
\n
• Accurately perform inventory transactions.
\n
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with site procedures and safety programs.
\n
• Day-shift position but includes opportunity for scheduled and emergency overtime on nights and weekends. Transition to a rotating shift possible.

\nPhysical Attributes:\n

• Work in confined spaces and at heights of 60 feet
\n
• Use of hand and power tools including precision measuring instruments
\n
• Operate fork lift and/or aerial work platforms
\n

\n
\nWho You Are\n
\n
\nMinimum Qualifications:\n
\n

\n
• High school diploma or GED
\n
• 3+ years previous industrial maintenance experience
\n

\n
\n
\nPreferred Qualifications:\n
\n

\n
• Trade School certificate OR participation in a union mechanical apprenticeship program
\n
• Prior experience with safety work permits and lock-out / tag-out procedures
\n
• Prior process chemical plant experience
\n
• Fundamental knowledge of basic electricity
\n
• Fundamental knowledge of Mill, Drill, and Lathe Operations including understanding of Dimension, Tolerance, and Fit
\n
• Experience with rolling Element & Journal bearing replacement & maintenance, Static & Dynamic Seal maintenance, and Couplings, Drives & Alignment
\n
• Proficiency with Oxy-Acetylene Torches
\n
• Pipe Fitting experience including functional knowledge of materials, fittings, and threading
\n
• Computer skills to review and record maintenance history in work orders
\n

\nPay Rate for this position: $35.15\n
\n
\nEmployees covered by a collective bargaining agreement will be governed by the terms of the most recent union contract.
