Title Specialist - Winter Springs Operation Center

Position Summary VETERANS PREFERENCE Looking for a skilled individual to assist in title processing and recording to ensure successful completion of loans for the Credit Union. The Title Specialist will prepare, process, and file all paperwork necessary with the DMV to ensure proper lien recordings. The position will handle all paid loans remitting satisfied to the correct person or business. The position will provide a competitive hourly rate of $19.75. Schedule Shift includes 40 hours per week between Monday and Friday (8am-5pm). Schedule will be based on the needs of the department. Must have a valid driver’s license. Driving requirement to the local DMV on a weekly or bi‑weekly basis. Responsibilities Perform DMV titling, tracking, recording and maintenance with all states to ensure credit union lien recording. Prepare legal transfer documentation to submit to the state motor vehicle department. Investigate and research titles to correct and/or perfect our liens. Work with members, dealers, and states on complex issues related to vehicle titles. Send necessary documentation to organizations, businesses, financial institutions, and members to complete title work. Assist members and employees with all lien questions and paid loan lien questions. Work proactively with retail staff and the business services department to ensure timely delivery of documents for lien perfection. Monitor and track the receipt of appropriate titles, insurance, and DMV documentation from dealers. Conduct title audits to ensure all titles were obtained. Balance departmental general ledgers as they relate to tag and title fees. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Qualifications One to three years of similar or related experience. A high school education or GED. Interpersonal skills: ability to handle personal contact with others, first‑level conflict resolution, build relationships, solicit cooperation, maintain confidentiality, diplomacy, and tact in communication. Physical Requirements This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. The employee must be able to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend as necessary.
