Senior Fixed Income Manager

Job Description
Our client, an established financial services firm, is seeking a senior Fixed Income Operations leader to oversee a key post-trade operations function.
\n \nThis individual will be responsible for leading a team, managing day-to-day operational performance, and partnering closely with trading and senior management. The role requires someone who understands fixed income operations at a detailed level but can also take a broader view of controls, scalability, technology, and process improvement.
\n \nResponsibilities
\n• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operations professionals
\n• Oversee post-trade activity across a diversified fixed income business
\n• Manage complex trade, settlement, financing, and operational exceptions
\n• Act as a senior escalation point for trading and business stakeholders
\n• Oversee relationships with external service providers and operational partners
\n• Work closely with trading teams to improve workflows and operational efficiency
\n• Strengthen controls and identify opportunities to reduce operational risk
\n• Drive automation and process-improvement initiatives
\n• Support new products, technology enhancements, and broader business initiatives
\n• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Technology, Finance, and senior management on key operational matters
\nBackground
\n• 10+ years of relevant financial services experience
\n• Meaningful experience within Fixed Income Operations
\n• Prior team-management experience
\n• Strong knowledge of fixed income post-trade processes and market infrastructure
\n• Experience with settlements, financing activity, reconciliations, and exception management
\n• Experience overseeing vendors or third-party service providers is beneficial
\n• Strong understanding of operational controls and risk management
\n• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
\n \nThe ideal candidate combines deep operational knowledge with strong leadership skills and is comfortable moving between detailed problem-solving and broader strategic initiatives.
