What You'll Do

• Greet guests with a warm smile, eye contact, and genuine, heartfelt enthusiasm
• Take accurate orders at the front counter, drive-thru, or via mobile/tablet ordering
• Prepare and serve beverages, desserts, and other front-of-house items
• Deliver completed orders to dine-in guests, mobile guests, third party delivery couriers, drive-thru guests, and assist with any special requests
• Keep the dining room, beverage station, restrooms, and front counter stocked and spotless throughout your shift
• Work outdoors in the drive-thru lane in all weather conditions — taking orders, delivering food, and engaging with guests during heat, cold, rain, and snow
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and responsibly
• Refill condiments, restock supplies, and maintain a clean and well-organized station and work area
• Anticipate guest needs — holding the door, clearing tables, refills, high chairs, extra napkins, etc. — before being asked
• Respond to guest concerns with patience, empathy, and a problem-solving mindset
• Collaborate with kitchen and other teammates to keep service flowing smoothly during peak hours
• Live out all of the Chick-fil-A and restaurant specific standards: "My pleasure" isn't just a phrase, it's a posture

How Your Hours Will Work

Shifts are assigned based on the availability you share with us and the needs of the business. We aim to keep schedules largely consistent week to week, though specific shifts may vary.

Front of House shifts at Chick-fil-A Nanuet generally fall into one of five blocks:

• Afternoon shifts start between 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM and cover the dinner rush into the evening.
• Closing shifts start between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM and run through store close. The latest scheduled end time is 1:00 AM, with most closing shifts ending between 11:00 PM and 1:00 AM. End-of-day responsibilities include cleaning, restocking, and shutdown procedures.

Most shifts run 4 to 8 hours. Schedules are posted weekly, and we ask Team Members to be available for a consistent set of shift blocks rather than scattered single hours.

The number of hours you receive may be influenced by:

• Reliability — your attendance and punctuality
• Versatility — your ability to work multiple positions and stations
• Consistency — how well you execute the standards and expectations of each station

New Team Members typically receive extra hours early on to support training. During onboarding, a single day may include both a training block and a working block, and you'll learn stations such as Register, Drinks, Desserts, Expo, and other stations, before working independently. Hours adjust as you grow into the role.

And remember — Chick-fil-A Nanuet is closed every Sunday. A guaranteed day of rest for the entire team.

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be at least 17 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• High school diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in high school
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and remain on your feet during peak service
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive motions (bending, reaching, carrying)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow) for portions of your shift
• Reliable transportation to and from the restaurant
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (closed Sundays)

Preferred:

• 6+ months of customer service, hospitality, or food service experience a plus
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems or tablet-based ordering a plus
• Food handler's certification a plus
• Bilingual abilities (Spanish or other languages a plus)
• Prior experience in a team-based environment
