LEAD BARTENDER | LEFTY’S at ARRIVE AUSTIN POSITION PROFILE We’re looking for a friendly lead bartender that’s enthusiastic about making well‑crafted drinks and forging authentic connections with guests at Lefty’s at ARRIVE Austin. ABOUT LEFTY’S Located at ARRIVE Austin, Lefty’s Brick Bar is an East Austin neighborhood bar offering abundant libations and delicious small bites and NY‑style pizza in a casual setting. The inviting courtyard space is ideal for outdoor events, cocktail parties and casual get‑togethers. THE TASK AT HAND Build teamwork and trust with your fellow teammates. Understand the functional administration of the restaurant, i.e., stations, table numbers, food labeling, etc. Assist in training staff with menu knowledge. Adherence to and teaching all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs. Assist the F&B manager in maintaining the cleanliness standards of the bar and seating areas. Maintain prepped ingredients (syrups, batches, garnishes, etc.) to the standard of the bar program (labeled, dated, proper vessels, etc.). Prepare all beverages, alcoholic or non‑alcoholic. Interact with guests, take orders, and serve food and drinks. Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails. Prepare beverages following the recipes. Plan and present bar menu. Check guests’ identification and confirm they meet the legal drinking age. Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies as needed. Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience. Build a following of regular guests. Complete knowledge of food menu and service in addition to beverage. Engage in regular meetings of the bar team. Communicate guest feedback to managers and recommend new menu items. Check if bar equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs. Comply with all food and beverage regulations. Other duties as assigned. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Must be energetic and outgoing. Must have the ability to follow directions, communicate well, and delegate while being self‑sustainable. Must be service oriented. Demonstrates a complete understanding of their role and carries it out in line with their job description. Works effectively with the rest of the team. Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks. Positive attitude and excellent communication skills. Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean. Fluency in English, both verbal and non‑verbal. Provide legible communication and directions. Compute basic arithmetic. Proven working experience as a bartender. Tries to consider the bigger picture and is confident as to when and where to seek guidance and clarity from senior team members. Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight‑hour shift. Requires mobility and prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. 2‑3 years of experience as a bartender in a high‑quality full‑service or fast casual environment.
