Supervision over: None

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Acknowledge and assist all customers

· Answer in-coming phone calls and make customer calls on a daily basis

· Assist in generating new and repeat sales by providing product knowledge and new programs

· Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications

· Accurately process customer transactions (order entry, customer check out or quotes)

· Assist in monitoring scheduled shipment dates to ensure efficient routes, timely delivery and expedite as needed

· Follow up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint

· Help in setting up and maintaining customer files

· Manage time effectively, meet goals and work effectively with sales teams

· Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, EPS data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software

Office and Sales Assistant:

We are seeking an experienced Office and Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks that support our greenhouse wholesale operations. Your work will help ensure the business runs professionally, safely, and efficiently, while also maintaining strong communication with our customers. This position provides great opportunities for career growth and advancement within the company.

 

 

Required Education, Skills and Abilities:

· Bachelor’s degree

· PC proficiency including use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to learn use of new software

· Some Accounting knowledge helpful, but not required

· Ability to work independently, efficiently and under time constraints

· Ability to communicate effectively with office staff, other employees, vendors and customers

· Good analytical and problem-solving skills

· Accurate data entry skills

· Organizational skills

 

Job Type: Full-time: most days 8am – 4:30 pm. May change during the peak season, Saturday or Sunday mornings may be required.
