Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 36 hours per week | Primarily Monday–Friday with on-call responsibilities for evenings, nights, and weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for patients of all ages in the ophthalmology operating room using a multidisciplinary approach
• Perform in both scrub and circulating roles as required
• Support surgical procedures including cataracts, retina, glaucoma, cornea, and pediatric cases
• Fulfill on-call responsibilities for evenings, nights, and weekends as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Demonstrated ability to scrub and circulate in the operating room
• Experience with ophthalmology subspecialties including cataracts, retina, glaucoma, cornea, and pediatrics
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum two (2) years of operating room experience in a Level 1 trauma center
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association
