About the Position

Job Title: Cardiac Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12.0 Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7a to 7p) Experience: Two (2) years experience required, operating room experience in a level 1 trauma preferred. License: RN License (New York only required) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only), ACLS (American Heart Association only), Telemetry Must-Have: - Ability to independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases, including CABGs, structural heart cases, minimally invasive procedures, and heart failure cases. - Transplant and TAVI/TAVR experience preferred but not required. Description: The Adult Cardiac Operating Room cares for a wide variety of patients. Cases include CABGs, TAVIs, and heart failure treatments such as VADs, ECMO, artificial hearts, and heart transplants. The staff employs a multidisciplinary approach to patient care for individuals of all ages. The role requires strong skills in scrubbing and circulating complex cases. Candidates should possess required certifications and experience as outlined. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and challenging environment is essential.
