About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in operating room nursing License: New York RN License required Certifications: BLS required; CNOR preferred Must-Have: Experience with general operating room procedures. Competency in phlebotomy and IV placement is required. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. The primary shift will be 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a focus on evening shifts. Flexibility to accommodate different shifts with advance notice is expected to meet department needs. Candidates must have experience in orthopedic total joint and trauma procedures, neuro, gynecology, urology, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. Experience with various surgical procedures including but not limited to laparoscopic cases, craniotomy, total joint replacements, and vascular surgeries is vital. You will be part of a diverse team and will work in a dynamic environment providing high-quality patient care. The role requires adherence to universal protocols and infection control practices. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential in this fast-paced setting. RNs will need to be familiar with the EPIC charting system. Candidates should demonstrate a committed approach to patient safety and quality care.
