They offer a collaborative, team-oriented environment where employees work closely together to support business operations and customer success.Position Overview:Our client is seeking an Accounting Clerk with a focus on Accounts Receivable to support the finance team during a busy period. This role will be responsible for processing customer payments, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting deductions and returns activity, and assisting with various accounting functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Key Responsibilities:Support daily accounts receivable processing and customer account activityApply customer payments accurately and research payment discrepanciesCollect, organize, and maintain deduction documentationProcess deduction requests and support resolution effortsMonitor returns activity and maintain related records and supporting documentationEnter financial data into the ERP system and verify accuracyAssist with account reconciliations and transaction reviewsMaintain accurate records for invoices, payments, deductions, credits, and returnsSupport customer portal activity and account maintenanceProvide administrative support to the finance department as neededCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve routine accounting issuesAssist with additional accounting functions, including accounts payable supportQualifications:2+ years of accounting experience with a focus on accounts receivableAssociate degree, technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferredExperience in distribution, e-commerce, wholesale, supply chain, or similar industries preferredStrong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPsExperience working within an ERP systemStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Skills & Experience:Payment application and cash posting experienceAccounts receivable reconciliation experienceExperience processing deductions, credits, and returnsFamiliarity with customer portals and account management systemsAbility to identify and resolve discrepancies independentlyWork Environment:Collaborative team environment with an open office layoutTeam members are focused, productive, and supportiveOpportunity to gain exposure to a variety of accounting functions and processes
