Regional EHS Specialist

Overview Sandvik Mining is seeking a Regional EHS Specialist based in Elko, NV to lead and enhance environmental, health, and safety programs across the region. Key Responsibilities Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems and ensure compliance with Sandvik EHS Global Standards. Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and training for managers and employees. Conduct hazard and incident reporting, investigations, and follow‑up actions. Recommend improvements to EHS practices, business processes, and workplace design. Coordinate internal audits, inspections, and reporting to OSHA, MSHA, EPA, DOT, and state agencies. Manage workers compensation cases and assist with MSHA reporting when necessary. Drive the implementation of the Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology EHS Strategic Management Plan. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in science, environmental, or safety discipline. Minimum 4 years of EHS focused work experience. Preferred Qualifications MSHA certification. Experience in mining, heavy industry, manufacturing, or production environments. Familiarity with safety management systems and related software. Location Elko, NV Travel Requirements Up to 30% travel to mine sites and other U.S. locations for EHS support. Compensation Annual salary range $79,900 – $108,000.
