WELDING TECHNICIAN

We are looking for a skilled Welder to cut and join metals and other materials at our facilities. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Blaze Equipment is looking for an individual who has the following skills: Self-Motivated Organization Good Multi-tasking ability Reasoning skills Able to stand the entire shift Able to work in cold/hot outdoor environment Safety-Conscious Basic math Skills Strong Communication skills Able to operate warehouse forklift Able to lift 50 lbs Design project Able to use an oxy-acetylene torch proficiently Measuring and Cutting materials to specifications Weld components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead) Proven experience as a welder Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to: Assist in unloading trucks as needed Practice good housekeeping of work area Able to attend on-call schedule for weekend/after-hours callouts Withstand extreme temperatures Read SAE and Metric measurements Willing to learn parts diagrams and Blueprints. Able to learn Forklift and Telehandler operations Determine the appropriate welding equipment for a method based on requirements Operate angle grinders to prepare the part that must be welded Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces.
