Lead Delivery Driver

Position Purpose As the Field Services Lead Technician you will serve as the local point of contact for all matters involving fulfillment quality, inventory management, fleet oversight, and preventive maintenance. You will set a standard for efficiency, work quality and customer engagement, and you will train and support new team members. Primary Responsibilities Ensure Field Services Technician quality standards are met. Act as primary trainer for all new Field Services team members. Train current team members on policy, procedural, and product updates. Manage market inventory: analyze, report and validate storage facilities, dock locations, and in‑truck product. Oversee truck maintenance and work with leadership to keep fleet in optimal operating condition. Maintain open lines of communication for field team questions and concerns, escalating to the Field Services Supervisor when necessary. Provide consistent two‑way communication of key messages, goals, process changes and performance results. Develop and maintain cross‑functional relationships with Retail, Supply Chain and other internal/external partners to ensure on‑time arrival, disposition and inventory management of Sleep Number products. Conduct on‑route installation, service visits and repairs in customers’ homes, delivering, relocating, assembling and maintaining products per brand standards. Assist Supervisors in conducting Customer Experience Evaluations (CEE). Perform daily duties assigned by the Field Services Supervisor and related business tasks. Position Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent. 2–3 years of customer service experience. Preferred: 1 year of Field Service Technician experience. Age 21 years or older. Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a commercial motor vehicle of 15,001 pounds or more (CDL not required) and a clean driving record. Identification that grants access to military bases (Real ID, Enhanced ID, Passport Card, US‑DoD ID or equivalent). Pass a criminal record check, DOT physical, drug screen, road test and maintain a clean motor vehicle record. Ability to provide individualized training to team members. First‑rate communication skills for internal and external customers. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to follow standard operating procedures. Follow safety procedures effectively. Capability to operate company vehicles in varying traffic and weather conditions. Proficiency with common hardware and power tools. Strong mechanical and technical aptitude. Knowledge of smartphone technology and basic wireless networks. Compensation Competitive base pay plus a bonus plan with monthly payout opportunities.
