Customer Service Representative

Position Purpose:

The primary function of a customer service representative is to provide exceptional customer service to all customers and employees. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Training on product knowledge of building materials for the drywall industry will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional phone, face-to-face, and written customer communications.
• Identify customer needs and opportunities, proactively resolves issues and provides creative, effective solutions that enhance the customer experience and strengthens relationships.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Operations, to address customer needs, resolve issues and ensure timely and effective solutions.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently through in-person, phone and other appropriate channels, while ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience.
• Utilize company systems and technology to accurately enter, update, and manage customer orders, ensuring timely processing and accurate information throughout the order lifecycle.
• Process customer sales transactions accurately and efficiently. including sales orders and cash purchases, while ensuring proper payment handling and adherence to company procedures
• Facilitate customer purchases from order through payment, ensuring accurate transactions, proper cash handling, and a seamless customer experience
• Develop product knowledge to assist customers.

No direct reports and Reports to Operations Manager or Branch Manager

Travel Requirements:

This position may require occasional travel: less than 10% of time

Physical Requirements:

• Remain in a stationary position in an office environment approximately 70% of the time.
• Occasionally move about the office.
• Operate basic office equipment
• Work primarily in an office environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to self-manage and interact comfortably with the public.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite
• Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.

• Bilingual preferred.

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Work Location

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $23.08 to $29.38 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. SRS Distribution offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime based on business needs.
