About the Position
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified SICU RN in Albany, Georgia, 31701!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Surgical Intensive Care Unit Duration: 17 Weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU or STICU at level 1-2 trauma centers License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS Must-Have: Experience with high acuity patients Description: This unit has 20 beds. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1, but 1:1 is common for higher acuity patients. The unit cares for neuro patients experiencing herniation and with "brain drains". It also accommodates ortho trauma requiring traction. Cardiovascular devices such as balloon pumps, impellas, and ekos are utilized. Post-operative care includes open-heart CABG patients. We handle open abdomens from the operating room that may require re-opening at the bedside. The unit will begin an ECMO program this summer. Travel nurses should have experience in ICUs or STICUs in trauma centers. The patient population is unique, with many renal patients needing CRRT administered at the bedside. Specialized training on devices is necessary in addition to general ICU experience. Medical ICU patients may transfer to this unit if there are bed shortages. About Cynet Health
