Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ASLS or NIHSS, CPI Must-Have: Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience. Candidates must have completed at least 1 travel assignment. Candidates must have experience with Meditech. Candidates must possess TNCC certification. Description: The facility operates under a 75-mile radius rule. Candidates must ensure their driver's license address is included in submitted documentation. The unit sees approximately 180-200 visits per day. There is a 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psychiatric personnel. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 to 4. Nurses are responsible for their own lab draws and IV starts. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. The pharmacy operates 24/7 and is on campus. Important to note: candidates are expected to complete orientation during the first week. Scrub color is Caribbean Blue only. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Holiday shifts will also be required every other holiday. Common patient diagnoses range from pediatrics to geriatrics, including trauma and neuro cases. The facility serves as a CVA center and manages various ortho cases. No burn cases are retained for treatment.
