Quality Inspector

Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of aircraft documentation before returning aircraft to customers. This role involves researching aircraft records, generating status reports, and assisting service managers and technicians in locating technical documentation. The inspector will also maintain the facility's research library and perform record-keeping in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities

• Assure that documentation on aircraft is properly updated, maintained, and executed before returning aircraft to customers.
• Research aircraft records and generate status reports to assist service managers and the production department.
• Communicate effectively with chief inspector, service managers, and production personnel.
• Assist A&P technicians with locating technical documentation.
• Research additional information for chief inspector and service managers as necessary.
• Ensure mechanics have acquired the proper documents for effective and efficient aircraft inspection.
• Ensure the facility research library is updated as required.
• Perform record keeping in compliance with regulatory requirements for the repair station.
• Maintain all calibrated tools and equipment.
• Inspect overhauled, repaired, or customer-supplied parts.
• Manage aircraft maintenance records and promote customer aircraft maintenance programs.
• Communicate with coworkers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conform to all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
• Adhere to all safety rules and wear/use appropriate safety equipment.
• Perform floor inspections as needed.

Essential Skills

• A&P License
• Experience with aircraft and parts manuals and microfiche
• Knowledge of FAA form 337 and manufacturer inspection forms
• Understanding of work authorizations, FAA records, and aircraft records
• 3-5 years of maintenance controller, research analyst, or floor inspection experience
• Experience in records review, tracking maintenance, and core inspections
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish or English/Portuguese)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience from corporate 145 repair station; 135 experience is a plus
• Experience with CAMP and TRAX systems
• Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets
• Experience as a floor inspector or having turned wrenches prior

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
