Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a respected cultural institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.31 / Hour Job Schedule: Thur: 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM Sat: 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM Sun: 04:00 PM - 08:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, families, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities with professionalism and compassion. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require attention. Monitor visitor access, observe site activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry, prohibited behavior, and/or damage to property while respecting the quiet nature of the location. Support access control, traffic direction, and/or special event coverage as needed, helping visitors with directions and general questions while following Allied Universal and site‑specific protocols. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
