2603798 Maintenance Manager Pay Grade15 Salary $3,960.94 - $5,169.46 Monthly Employment Type EXECUTIVE BRANCH | FULL TIME | ELIGIBLE FOR OVERTIME PAY | 18A | 37.5 HR/WK Hiring Agency Education & Labor Cabinet | Department of Education Location 1867 Frankfort Avenue Louisville, KY 40206 USA Description The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Special Education and Early Learning, Division of StateSchools, has an opening for a KSB/KSD Maintenance Manager at the Kentucky School for the Blind in Louisville. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Supervises, plans, schedules and directs the work duties of Maintenance Staff in maintaining buildings and grounds. Inspects employees work upon completion of duties. Conducts inspections of buildings and grounds to determine maintenance needs, safety hazards, and to assure cleanliness. Inspects mechanical room for general maintenance needs. Purchases needed supplies, equipment, and services. Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment. Prepares time and attendance reports. While residing at the Kentucky School for the Blind responsible for oversight of state-owned assets and promotes effective deterrence and resolution of emergencies. Manages security guard contracted services. Coordinates and works with major maintenance projects. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: High school graduate. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Seven years of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services or mechanical maintenance experience. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Formal training in industrial arts, horticulture, building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, mechanical engineering, or a related field will substitute for the experience on a year-for- year basis. Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE Working Conditions Incumbents in this job title may be required to use hand tools and lift items in excess of 20 pounds.
