Law Firm Tax Accountant

CBIZ Talent Solutions is partnering with a global law firm in the search for a Tax Accountant for their office in Downtown Los Angeles, California. The role will require minimal in office presence (once every two weeks outside of busy season and once a week from January-mid-April). The ideal candidate will have at least three years of prior law firm tax accounting experience. Duties Assist in analysis on various tax projects for tax reporting and tax audits for both domestic and international offices Prepare work papers to support tax calculations Review state composite and withholding returns Prepare sales & use tax returns and gross receipts tax returns prior to submission Gather data needed for transfer pricing reporting requirements for U.S. and international offices Assistance in reconciliation of Tax General Ledger accounts Assist with data gathering and initial review of business property tax returns for U.S. offices Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 3 + years' experience as a tax accountant (PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE) Prior law firm tax experience preferred Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles Proficient with Excel Excellent written/verbal communication skills The salary range for this position is $80,000-$93,000, DOE.
