Manufacturing Engineer I - Waco, TX - Entry Level

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to join a growing manufacturing team in Waco, TX . This is an excellent opportunity for recent engineering graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience supporting production operations, continuous improvement initiatives, and new product introduction activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Location: Waco, TX (On-Site)

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Pay Rate: $20 an hr
MUST BE USC

Key Responsibilities

Support production operations by troubleshooting manufacturing and assembly issues on the shop floor.
Update tooling, routings, bills of materials (BOMs), and manufacturing documentation.
Assist with new product introduction (NPI) activities and implementation of engineering changes.
Author and maintain standard work instructions and process documentation.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIWs), and problem-solving activities.
Analyze workflows, material flow, and production processes to identify efficiency improvements.
Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to support manufacturing operations.
Collaborate with production, quality, supply chain, logistics, and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
Support 3D printing activities and various manufacturing projects.
Prepare reports, charts, process diagrams, and workflow documentation.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
0-2 years of engineering experience (internships accepted).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CAD software.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production environments.
Familiarity with SAP, Teamcenter, Visio, 5S, or root cause corrective action methodologies.
Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
