Contract Recruiter | Overland Park, KS

Contract | $30-40ph.

LHH is working with a Construction & Manufacturing company in Johnson County who is seeking an experienced Contract Recruiter to support high-volume and specialized hiring efforts. This role will manage full-cycle recruiting activities, partnering closely with hiring managers to identify, attract, and hire skilled professionals ranging from field personnel and production employees to supervisors, engineers, project managers, and skilled trades talent.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manage the full recruiting lifecycle from intake meeting through offer acceptance and onboarding.

· Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, hiring priorities, and required skill sets.

· Source and recruit candidates for construction, manufacturing, engineering, skilled trades, operations, maintenance, production, logistics, and supervisory roles.

· Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, networking, referrals, and community outreach.

· Conduct phone screens and candidate assessments to evaluate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.

· Coordinate interviews and provide consultative guidance to hiring teams throughout the hiring process.

· Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future workforce needs.

· Track recruiting metrics and maintain accurate candidate activity within the ATS.

· Ensure a positive candidate experience while serving as the primary point of contact throughout the hiring process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably within construction, manufacturing, industrial, skilled trades, engineering, or workforce staffing environments.

· Proven ability to recruit for both high-volume and specialized positions.

· Experience sourcing passive candidates through LinkedIn, networking, and direct outreach.

· Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.

· Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and modern sourcing tools.

· Ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities simultaneously.

· Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
