Heavy Civil Project ManagerPosition Overview We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead large-scale infrastructure and heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The Project Manager will be responsible for overall project delivery managing scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality, subcontractors and client relationships to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all phases of heavy civil construction projects including planning, preconstruction, execution, and closeout.Develop, maintain and control project schedules and budgets; monitor progress and implement corrective actions to meet cost and timeline targets.Oversee subcontractor procurement, selection, and performance; manage contracts, change orders and negotiate with vendors and partners.Coordinate site operations, conduct regular site visits, and ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with plans, specifications and regulatory requirements.Implement and enforce safety programs and quality control procedures; promote a strong safety culture on every project.Prepare and present regular project reports for senior management and clients, including forecasts, progress updates, risk logs and financials.Identify, assess and mitigate project risks; resolve on-site issues and conflicts promptly to minimize impact on schedule and cost.Collaborate with project engineers, superintendents, estimators and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives and resource allocation.Manage permitting, inspections and compliance with local, state and federal regulations and permit conditions.Mentor, develop and lead project teams; provide direction, performance feedback and ensure effective communication among team members.QualificationsBachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent construction industry experience considered.Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience managing heavy civil and infrastructure construction projects.Demonstrated expertise in Heavy Civil, Construction and Project Management with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.Strong financial acumen including experience with project budgeting, cost control, forecasting and change order management.Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills; proven ability to build and maintain client and subcontractor relationships.Experience with contract administration, risk management, permitting and regulatory compliance.Proficient in project scheduling and planning methodologies; experience directing on-site construction teams and field operations.Preferred (nice-to-have) software and certifications: Primavera (P6), HCSS, HeavyBid, Viewpoint, OSHA 30; PMP certification a plus.Valid drivers license; willingness to travel frequently and perform regular site visits to project locations.BenefitsCompetitive compensationFull health benefits (medical, dental, vision)PTOPaid holidays401k w/matchLife insuranceDisability insuranceMuch more!
