Business Development Representative (Miami-Fort Lauderdale Area)

VLX is hiring a Business Development Representative who owns the customer's first impression and their first 90 days. You will run product demos for inbound and outbound leads, turn interest into trials and paid accounts, then onboard those customers so they stick and grow. It is a hybrid of BDR, sales engineer, and customer success manager, built for someone who likes teaching and shaping software as much as selling it.

VLX is an AI-native inspection and verification platform for B2B enterprises. Inspectors, QA/QC teams and field crews use VLX to capture, standardize and report inspections faster, with three core AI features: AI Walkthrough , AI Template Builder and AI Scribe . Our newest product, VLX Home , is an all-in-one scheduling, billing and reporting suite for residential home inspectors, built for the modern inspector and better value than legacy tools. Customers range from solo home inspectors to steel mills, bus manufacturers, coating plants and oil and gas operators across the US and Latin America.

• Run live and recorded demos of VLX and VLX Home, tailored to each prospect's workflow (home inspection, QA/QC, HSE, maintenance, compliance)
• Qualify inbound leads from the website, trials and events within one business day
• Run targeted outbound to priority segments: solo and multi-inspector home inspection firms, industrial facilities, and financial services teams
• Build custom demo environments, including sample templates made with AI Template Builder from a prospect's own checklist or report
• Convert trials to paid plans and hand off larger enterprise deals to the CEO with clean notes
• Keep every lead, contact, deal and activity current in Zoho CRM

• Onboard new accounts: set up organizations and users, import templates, and train teams on AI Walkthrough, AI Scribe and reporting
• Help home inspectors switching from other platforms move their templates, agreements and scheduling into VLX Home
• Be the first line of support for your accounts by chat, email, phone and screen share
• Run check-ins at 30, 60 and 90 days, track adoption, and flag at-risk accounts early
• Spot expansion opportunities (more seats, more sites, added modules) and turn them into upsells
• Capture product feedback and feature requests and bring them to the product team with clear examples
• Build and maintain help articles, onboarding checklists and short how-to videos

First 30 days: you know the product cold, have shadowed demos and onboardings, and can run a full VLX and VLX Home demo on your own.

By day 60: you run most inbound demos, own onboarding for new accounts, and have your outbound cadence live in Zoho CRM.

By day 90: you carry a demo and conversion target, manage a book of onboarded accounts, and have shipped at least three help articles or training videos.

• A confident presenter who can run a 30-minute demo, handle questions, and adapt on the fly
• Comfortable learning software fast and teaching it to non-technical users in the field
• Organized and disciplined about follow-up, with experience working in a CRM (Zoho, HubSpot or Salesforce)
• Clear, friendly writer for emails, help articles and chat support
• Self-starter who is comfortable in a small, fast-moving team reporting
• An AI enthusiast

• Fluent Spanish (we work with customers across Latin America)
• Background in home inspection, real estate, construction, manufacturing, QA/QC or HSE
• Experience with field service or inspection software
• Experience recording short product videos or tutorials
• Familiarity with Stripe billing or subscription pricing

• Base salary + Variable Commission on new paid accounts and expansion
