Operations Supervisor – 2nd Shift / Bilingual Spanish
Seat Pleasant, MD area | Fully on-site
Sunday–Thursday | 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Position Summary
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing evening warehouse and transportation activities, ensuring efficient workflow, employee productivity, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role provides hands-on leadership for inventory processing, distribution operations, and transportation coordination while supporting overall facility performance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead daily warehouse operations, including inventory processing, order fulfillment, product inspection, staging, and material handling activities.
- Coordinate employee schedules and work assignments to meet operational goals and customer service expectations.
- Monitor staffing, workflow, productivity, and resource utilization to maintain service levels and cost efficiency.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members, promoting accountability for safety, attendance, quality, and performance standards.
- Oversee transportation activities, including route coordination, delivery scheduling, and pickup operations.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and all applicable safety and transportation regulations.
- Review operational documentation, shipment records, and driver paperwork to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct shift meetings to communicate priorities, performance expectations, and operational updates.
- Partner with internal departments to resolve service issues and support efficient day-to-day operations.
- Supervise yard and equipment activities, including trailer positioning, vehicle utilization, and material movement.
- Support facility organization, housekeeping, and general operational needs as required.
Qualifications
- MUST be fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related discipline preferred.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience within warehouse, distribution, logistics, transportation, or manufacturing environments.
- Proven ability to manage teams in a fast-paced, high-volume operation.
- Experience with routing, transportation coordination, shipping, receiving, or distribution processes is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, communication, and employee development skills with a hands-on management approach.
