Are you ready to take off on your next career with us?The work of the Mechanic classification includes the following: troubleshooting, disassembly, checking and cleaning, repairing, replacing, testing, adjusting, assembling, installing, servicing, fabricating, or towing any ground equipment while in service or while undergoing overhaul and/or modification. Certifies for quality of workmanship, including signing mechanical releases on field work. May be assigned to order, receive, inventory, secure or disburse parts and supplies on or off airport facilities.Responsibilities:Drive vehicles weighing up to ten (10) tons (up to forty (40) tons in select assignments) in congested areas requiring good depth perception and ability to distinguish colors red, green, and yellow.Work with color-coded wiring and other components which requires the ability to differentiate colors to include but not limited to red, green, yellow, blue, black, brown, white, and orange.Operate a variety of tools, including power tools, in the process of assembling, disassembling, repairing, and installing parts and components while reaching, twisting, turning, and gripping.Read and interpret printed or computerized maintenance manuals, write legibly to complete forms/paperwork as required.Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.Minimum Requirements:HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.Must be at least 18 years of age.Valid driver's license, ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday, Sunday), holidays, and days off.Ability to read and work from diagrams as required.Diesel experience required.Must possess minimum established Company tool requirements.Must be able to regulate own work with little supervision and accomplish tasks on own.May be required to possess Commercial Driver's License (CDL) depending on assignment.
