Registered Nurse/ICU

$35 - $38 per hour

This position is a Neuro ICU unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong Neuro Critical Care Background, with at least 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU. Required skills and certifications include: Vents IV Start Neuro Intensive Care Unit Interpretation of dysrhythmias Management of dysrhythmias Blood Product Administration Central line care/management Continuous IV sedation CVA/Acute Stroke management External ventricular drains (EVD) ICP Monitoring Post Neurosurgery management Care of Ventilated Patient Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE Lumbar Drain experience Certs: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Preferred skills include arterial line management. Job details: Ratios: 2:1 (can flex up to 3:1 in high census) Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 - 07:15) Unit will accept 13 weeks Call requirement: none Float requirement: yes Weekend requirement: every other weekend Patient diagnoses include strokes, SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, and more. Special procedures and unit details include comprehensive stroke center, EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, and more.
