Junior Estimator
Austermiller is seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to support our commercial and residential Roofing/Siding estimating team. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow a long-term career in construction by working alongside experienced professionals to prepare accurate project estimates and competitive bids.
Responsibilities:
- Review blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
- Perform material takeoffs and quantity calculations.
- Request, compare, and organize supplier and vendor pricing.
- Assist in preparing accurate project estimates and bid packages.
- Maintain estimating databases and software.
- Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and vendors throughout the bidding process.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software such as PlanSwift, The EDGE, or similar platforms.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management.
